My name is Christopher Sadler and ten years ago, as a junior in high school, I unexpectedly suffered from Heart Failure. I was subsequently diagnosed with a condition called Dilated Cardiomyopathy and Severe Arrhythmia. As I continue to reflect on the past ten years, I realize that at the core of my survival is the hard work and dedication of the companies that have made research and educational programs from the American Heart Association a possibility. From the first days in the hospital to the present day, your support has kept me and millions of other heart disease patients alive. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your tireless work and unwavering commitment to supporting and spreading the mission of the American Heart Association. As we begin the celebration of Heart Month, it is my hope that we can continue to bind together to spread the importance of living a heart healthy lifestyle around the world.
